What is a Hero? | Children Write | Central Public Library In-Person

Have you wondered what it takes to be a hero? Join multi-award winning author Emily Lim-Leh as she explores the life and tribulations of a young boy named Ying Xiong as he grows up in 1940s Singapore. In this workshop, participants will learn the attributes of a hero and express heroic ideals through the format of a comic. This workshop is suitable for children from the ages of 9 to 12. 

About the author
Emily Lim-Leh is a multi-award-winning author of 50 children’s books. She was named Mediacorp’s Singapore Woman Award Honoree for inspiring readers through her books and finding her voice in writing following a rare voice affliction. She’s also a recipient of the Public Service Medal (Covid-19) for her informational children’s e-books for the community. Little Hero, her historical fiction book, was released as Amazon.sg’s #1 Hot New Release and its #1 Bestseller (Children’s Historical Fiction) on the weekend of its release in end April 2024.
